Binhai New Area is in the west of Bohai Bay, alluvial-marine plain. The ground level is high in the east and low in the west. According to Dagu Elevation System, height above sea level is within 1.2-3.8m.

Regional seasonal standard frost line is 0.6m.

Anti-seismic grade of buildings is grade 7.

Soil bearing strength: 6-7t/M².

This area belongs to soft soil foundation, which requires deformation calibration or composite foundation. It is preferred to take pile foundations.

[Atmospheric Environment]

According to the 2002 air quality in key cities released by the State Environmental Protection Administration, the average quality in Tianjin City reaches the national secondary standard. Inhalable particle is the major pollutant.
